About

I’m Jennifer Rose, a graphic designer specialising in editorial and information design. Fivefold is my design practice, created to better reflect what my work had evolved into through Jennifer Rose Design. It focuses on helping organisations communicate complex content more clearly.

Approach

My work is about bringing clarity and structure to complex information — making it easier to understand, navigate and use. I draw on a background in both editorial and brand design, applying clear visual systems, typography and layout to ensure consistency across longer, information-led content. Projects often involve working with dense or technical material and shaping it into something more accessible and engaging.

Background

I’ve been working as a graphic designer for over 20 years, beginning in commercial print and pre-press. My experience has since spanned international education and publishing, including developing and managing visual identities across global teams and working as an art editor, leading the design and production of illustrated books. I later moved into freelance work and established Fivefold. This background continues to inform how I approach structure, consistency and complex content.

Working together

I work independently and, where needed, collaborate with trusted writers, editors and other specialists to support each project.

Accessibility

Accessibility is a core part of my work, with a particular focus on designing PDFs to WCAG standards.

Talks and training

I also deliver talks and practical training on accessible design, helping teams create clearer, more usable documents.

Location

I’m based in Brighton, UK, and work with clients both in the UK and internationally, including global organisations and distributed teams.
